BANNA 10K - "probably the flattest 10K in Ireland"

http://stbrendansac.blogspot.ie/p/banna-10k-road-racefun-run.html
With an elevation of only 23m this could quite possibly be the flattest 10K Road Race in Ireland (but we will be happy to hear from anyone who knows of a flatter course).
This course will suit everyone - runners and walkers, beginners and advanced.

AAI NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012

AAI National u12-u19 Track & Field 2012

The 14th & 15th of July saw the Athletics Association of Ireland’s National Championships take place in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.  While they may have been just outside of the medals many of the St. Brendan’s AC athletes achieved personal bests in their first outing at the Nationals. In the U12 age group Kate O’ Shea had a PB of 7.63m in the shot putt, Darragh Courtney had a PB of 8.42m in the shot putt & Aaron Malik had a PB of 35.59m in the ball throw.  At U18 Peter O’ Brien was just unlucky to be outside of the medals, however he was very happy with his throw of 12.12m, a great throw for him to end the season on!

U19: Úna Marley was 1st in the pole vault with a jump of 2.50m.
U18:  Eoghan Courtney placed 2nd in the 400m hurdles.  Katie O’ Riordan came 2nd in her pole vault with a jump of 2.80m.  Michael Grimes was 3rd in the pole vault & just placed outside of the medals in his triple jump.

St. Brendan’s would also like to take this opportunity to wish both Katie O’ Riordan & Eoghan Courtney the best of luck at the School's International Games taking place in Kent this coming weekend 21st & 22nd July!!
